In addition, before heading out, you should check the exact sunset time on your weather app to avoid missing it and feeling disappointed. Also, check the weather forecast to ensure a cloudless day. Keep in mind that in winter, you can enjoy an early sunset, whereas in summer, the days are significantly longer, so the sunset can be as late as 9 pm.

How to Get There?

The nearest subway station is Jiriho z Podebrad, which is only about a 5-8 minute walk from the park. Additionally, you can combine your visit with a trip to the farmer’s market located near the station’s exit. Alternatively, you can reach the bottom of the park by tram or bus; however, be prepared for a moderate climb to the top of the hill.

A Bit of History

Riegrovy Sady has a rich history dating back to its establishment in the late 19th century.

The park is named after František Ladislav Rieger, a prominent Czech politician and national revivalist.

Over the years, it has become a beloved recreational space for locals and tourists alike, offering a serene escape from the bustling city.

The park’s design and layout have been carefully preserved, maintaining its historical charm while providing modern amenities for visitors.
