First, you can take the fast track, which offers a quicker route, or alternatively, choose the longer route for a more leisurely experience. Both options are, in fact, suitable for families, making it easy to find a path that fits your needs.
The Fast Track:
How to Get There?
To get to the U Lesíka station from the Smichov shopping center (Anděl station):
Take bus number 123 and get off at the U Lesíka stop.
Route Information:
Suitability for strollers: Excellent, but there may be muddy sections.
Difficulty for children: Easy, mostly downhill.
Length: About 1 km.
Start of the route: U Lesíka station.
Main Points of Interest:
-Descent on a comfortable asphalt path into the forest.
-Historical buildings and statues along the way.
-Reed with fish.
-A small playground.
-A large lake with ducks and otters.

The trail offers excellent stroller accessibility; however, you should be prepared for potentially muddy paths. The route, which winds down a comfortable asphalt path, takes about an hour to complete. Along the way, you’ll discover historical buildings and statues, adding a touch of cultural interest to your hike.
As we descended, we reached a pond area where the kids delighted in spotting fish. Whether the water’s clear in winter or lush green in summer is a sight to behold. Furthermore, a brief uphill tour leads to a quaint playground, perfect for a picnic pitstop.
Proceed along the comfortable asphalt road adjacent to the forest. Finally, as we descended, a serene lake greeted us, teeming with ducks and otters.
We hopped on tram line number 10 from Poštovka station to head back home.
The Long Route:
How to Get There?
To reach the Na Pomezí station from the Smíchov shopping center (Anděl station), follow these steps:
1. Take bus number 123.
2. Get off at Průchova station.
3. Walk a short distance to Na Pomezí Street, exactly to the point marked on the map.
Route Information:
– Suitability for strollers: Suitable, but there may be muddy sections.
– Difficulty for children: Easy.
– Length: About 3 km.
– Duration: 1-3 hours.
– Start of the route: Průchova station, Na Pomezí street.
Main Points of Interest:
– Walking on a flat path in the forest.
– Steep descent to a railway.
– Watching a small train pass through the forest.
– Merging with the short track.
– Playground (optional).
– Small lake with historical statues.
– A lake with ducks and otters.
Additional Information:
When you get off the bus, there is a short walk towards the forest, entering from Na Pomezí Street (as shown on the map). From there, follow the points marked on the map.
It is also recommended to check the schedule for the train passing through the forest. Although the train itself is relatively small, its journey through the forest is nonetheless impressive and well worth experiencing.
