Guide to Museums for International Museum Day

The International Council of Museums (ICOM) established International Museum Day in 1977 to promote public awareness of museums’ role in society’s development.

This day is traditionally celebrated around May 18. Museums play a vital role in the well-being and sustainable growth of our communities.

On this day, some museums offer free admission, while others provide significant discounts.
