This small zoo offers a variety of animals, including horses, birds, a playground, and even some kangaroos. You can watch the animals up close, and some of them can also be petted, making it a great experience for kids.

Střelecký Island (Archer’s Island)
One of the most beautiful islands in Prague, Střelecký Island is famous for its stunning viewpoint of the Charles Bridge. The island is home to ducks and nutrias (coypus), an animal resembling an otter, roaming freely. Despite their looks, it’s amicable and used to tourists.

Under Legion Bridge. You can access the island using stairs or an elevator in front of the bridge.

Swans in the Vltava River
At a 10-minute walk from Nový Smíchov Shopping Centre towards the river, there is a spot where swans, ducks, and other birds gather. These birds are used to being fed by people, though feeding them is not recommended. Children will still enjoy seeing so many birds in one place.

You can find groups of swans and ducks in different locations along the Vltava River
Point 1: A five-minute walk from Nový Smíchov Shopping Centre towards the river. (map)
Point 2: Descend towards the river in front of the Dancing House. Proceed along the Náplavka promenade to find a spot with a tiny nest of calm swans. (map)

Peacocks in the Waldstein Garden
Discover one of the most beautiful gardens in the center of Prague. The Waldstein Garden features a large pond with big fish and freely roaming peacocks, including two albino peacocks. Peacocks can also be seen in Vojanovy Park, opposite the garden.
