Personal Recommendation: I like this garden. It offers a royal atmosphere with lots of greenery and beauty. The garden is beautiful, and if you come between April and October, it is worth including in your trip, especially since the entrance to the park is free.

The Waldstein Garden, carefully designed geometrically, was created at the same time as the Wallenstein Palace, between 1623 and 1629. It is one of the most beautiful gardens that Prague has to offer. The garden has a royal atmosphere, with lots of greenery, peacocks, a huge fish pond, and statues. (map)

A Bit of History

The Waldstein Garden is linked to the history of Wallenstein Palace and its esteemed patron, Albrecht von Wallenstein. Built between 1623 and 1629, the garden was designed in a strict style, featuring geometric layouts and picturesque landscapes.

The central part of the garden, the Sala Terrena, boasts superb frescoes and plasterwork depicting scenes from the Trojan War. Originally completed in 1629, this gallery remains a testament to historic artistry and is a must-see for visitors exploring the garden.
