Background

Divoká Šárka is a very popular park for locals seeking a nature hike.

Due to its size, it never feels too crowded. Small streams run through the park, with mountain rock formations above, offering impressive vantage points over the Šárka Valley.

The lower part features a mountainous plain and a forest and several well-maintained hiking trails are easy to navigate.

The park is suitable for all ages and trips with strollers, but if you choose the climb to the top is relatively challenging and not suitable for strollers. (map)

How to Get There?

The most popular and circular route starts at Divoká Šárka station, easily recognized by the nearby McDonald’s. This is where the trails start and end.

After Arrival, Where Do You Go?

When you get off at the Divoká Šárka station near McDonald’s, just cross past McDonald’s and enter the park.

After a short walk, you can go down the stairs or continue further along a path suitable for strollers.

From there, you can explore the park from the right side of the lake, go straight ahead to the observation deck at the beginning of the route, or head to the left side, which features walking paths next to high rocks.

Divoká Šárka offers many pleasant routes, and no single recommended path exists. You can wander any trail and simply enjoy the scenery.
